The recently released Tasmanian Visitor Survey (TVS) for the year ending March 2018 shows good growth in visitor arrivals to Tasmania for the purpose of attending a conference, convention or seminar.
Business Events Tasmania CEO Marnie Craig said that “a 17% increase in business event visitors to the state as seen in the latest TVS figures (38,500 visitors), is evidence of the increased interest and demand that Business Events Tasmania is experiencing from professional conference organisers and business events planners.”
From the sales team’s ongoing in-market presence at trade shows and communications with clients, it is clear that there continues to be strong interest in Tasmania as a business events destination and the team is working hard to convert business while this opportunity exists.
“These figures prove that Tasmania can deliver excellent venues for all types of business events up to 1100 delegates. The state is delivering the full delegate package, including high quality produce and beverages, award – winning tourism experiences, an increasing number of dining options, quality service and friendly locals.” said Craig.
