Marnie oversees operations and works closely with stakeholders and industry organisations; focusing on the ongoing strategic development of the business events sector in Tasmania and raising the profile of the organisation locally, nationally and internationally.

Claire Harrington
Director of Sales

Claire is available to assist local meeting planners to bring their national or international conferences or meetings to Tasmania. Claire also hosts familiarisation visits and site inspections for national meeting planners.

Krystal James
Business Development Manager

Krystal joined the BET team in 2010. Krystal works with clients and members to bid on corporate and association business events. She oversees our ambassador program and represents BET and members at tradeshows. Krystal also organises and hosts site inspections and famils.

Leah Muir
Business Development Manager

Leah joined BET in 2015 with 10 years’ experience representing venues state wide, working with corporate and association business events. Leah has extensive knowledge on Tasmanian and how the destination can work for all business events exploring the destination.

Alicia Perry
Business Development Manager – Northern Tasmania

Alicia is our Launceston-based Business Development Manager who works with clients from the incentive, corporate and association markets, hosting site inspections and familiarisations showcasing Launceston, the North-West Coast and Cradle Mountain. Alicia also represents BET at trade shows and in market events.

Iola’s key responsibilities are to identify bid opportunities, make contact with potential clients and to research, analyse and input data into the CRM database.

Michelle Gilroy-Webb
Membership Manager

The first point of contact for all membership enquires; Michelle coordinates member functions, exhibits and seminars, and is responsible for member recruitment and retention.

Meredith Farrer
Marketing & Communications Manager

Meredith is responsible for all Business Events Tasmania marketing and communications, including strategy development, brand maintenance, digital, advertising, media and public relations.

Helen Benson
Administration Officer

Helen is responsible for the on-going administrative functions of BET and to support the CEO and team to deliver incremental ‘business events’ growth to Tasmania.

Taryn Reid
Sales & Marketing Coordinator

Taryn provides valuable support in the sales and marketing areas of the business with a particular focus on digital and social media, data analysis and BET’s customer relationship management system.

Laura Curtain
Sales & Marketing Coordinator

Laura works with clients from the association and corporate market on events both small and large, including incentive programs and corporate & association conferences. Laura also represents BET at tradeshows and in-market events and assists with marketing campaigns and activities.
